The Geranium Salome
The Geranium Salome is a late blooming plant with striking light purple flowers with dark purple veins and centers accented by chartreuse foliage. It blooms in mid summer and continues until the weather turns cold. Salome grows to 12” tall.
Planting Tips For Salome
Geraniums can be grown indoors, outdoors in containers and planted in flower beds.
Geraniums need 6 hours of sun every day to flourish so plant them in a spot that is at least partially sunny.
The geranium will do best in a well drained soil (a mix of soil and peat moss for container plants is good).
Keeping geraniums in containers is nice if you live in a climate with a harsh winter – you can bring the plant in in the cold weather and set it back out when the last frost is over. Make sure you give it a planter that is large enough for the plant and take care to not overwater.
Geraniums can be nice to have indoors to brighten up a dull winter. Make sure you put them in a very sunny spot and use a well drained potting mix. Optimum temperatures for these plants is 65 degrees in the day and 55 at night.
Make sure you check Your Salome for signs of pests and diseases
