The Geranium Vining
The ivy leaved geranium - a vining plant that is great in window boxes and hanging planters can grow up to 3 feet long. You can also grow the wild geranium in an informal garden or the cranesbill geranium in a more formal style garden.
Planting Tips For Vining
Plant in garden beds, planters and hanging baskets.
Make sure you plants get at least 6 hours of sun each day and are protected from strong winds.
Use a well drained mildly acidic soil for best plant growth.
Keeping geraniums in containers is nice if you live in a climate with a harsh winter – you can bring the plant in in the cold weather and set it back out when the last frost is over. Make sure you give it a planter that is large enough for the plant and take care to not overwater.
Indoor geraniums will flower if put in a very sunny spot. Make sure they are in a container large enough for the plant with good drainage. Fertilize every month spring through summer and every other month fall through winter.
