Lemon Geranium Seeds Of Wisdom
You can make a tea from dried or fresh leaves. For dried leaves, use 2 teaspoons, for fresh use Ľ cup. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the leaves and let sit for 5 minutes. Strain the leaves out and drink.
Plant in garden beds, planters and hanging baskets.
Geraniums should be planted in an area that is sheltered from strong winds. Put them in a spot where there will be full sun for 6 to 8 hours a day. Use a well drained soil that is slightly acidic. Prepare the bed by fertilizing with a 5-10-5 fertilizer. Once the flowers are planted, fertilize once a month with a 10-10-10 fertilizer. Mulch the area and water once a week or as required.
There are herbal uses as well and this plant can be used for inflammation with its mild, soothing effect. Geranium plants tend to break and wilt in windy locations so plant them in a protected area. When purchasing geraniums, look for sturdy plants with good strong leaves.
