Phaeum Geranium Seeds Of Wisdom
Geranium multisectum is a lovely, soft herbaceous perennial. This plant can have pest problems like the plant bug which makes sunken, rounded, brown, spots on the leaves. Geranium plants tend to break and wilt in windy locations so plant them in a protected area.
Geraniums are loved for their colorful blossoms and aromatic oil. This plant commonly found at your local greenhouse is actually a native wildflower of this region. The wild geranium is also called the Carolina geranium and is a semi-erect winter annual which is found throughout the United States and Canada. Cut-leaved geranium is an early spring flowering perennial.
Geraniums should be planted in an area that is sheltered from strong winds. Put them in a spot where there will be full sun for 6 to 8 hours a day. Use a well drained soil that is slightly acidic. Prepare the bed by fertilizing with a 5-10-5 fertilizer. Once the flowers are planted, fertilize once a month with a 10-10-10 fertilizer. Mulch the area and water once a week or as required.
Geranium oil is used in aromatherapy in the bath and for massage. There are herbal uses as well and this plant can be used for inflammation with its mild, soothing effect. They can be grown as a bedding, in containers or a hanging plant.
