Scented Geranium Seed

Scented Geranium seed can be used to grow any number of plants that are pretty to look at and to smell! Some scented geraniums include rose scented and lemon scented as well as varieties that smell like nuts, spices and even a citronella scented geranium that repels insects such as mosquitoes.

Planting Tips For Scented Geranium Seeds
  • Plant in garden beds, planters and hanging baskets.
  • Geraniums like the sun, but not too much in climates that are very hot. Put them in a spot that will get 6 to 8 hours of sun each day. Strong winds can damage these plants so make sure the area is protected.
  • Plant the geranium in an area that has good drainage and slightly acidic soil.

If planting in containers, choose planters that will be large enough to support growth of the plant. If you find the plant wilting between watering, this may be a sign that it needs to be repotted. Make sure there is adequate drainage and take care not to overwater.

Indoor geraniums will flower if put in a very sunny spot. Make sure they are in a container large enough for the plant with good drainage. Fertilize every month spring through summer and every other month fall through winter.

Make sure you check the Scented Geranium Seed for signs of pests and diseases
